Highelf Windrunner


The most agile and quick fighters become Windrunners, taking their name from Sidhe warriors in ancient times. Though their talents may seem better suited to the more flexible glaive, the Windrunners need agility in great measure, as the pikes they wield, though of High Elven manufacture, shorter than average and more akin to human spears, and thus unwieldy and unbalanced. Their skill compensates for this, and they strike with great speed, withdrawing and jabbing their pike many times, then darting back into the impenetrable defensive line that is hold by the Shieldbearers.

Special Notes: This unit’s skill at skirmishing allows it to ignore enemies’ zones of control and thus move unhindered around them. Opponents striking this unit in melee have fix 40% chance to hit, if their weapons bear no magical enchantments.
