Dust Devil

(image)

Floaters already were highly improbable creatures, and exposing them to unusual environments causes them to turn even weirder. Expanding and contracting so close to the ground, floaters tend to suck up dust, sand and the like, and it supplants their usual, noxious functionality while strengthening their bellowing. The result is a creature capable of blasting abrasive-laden jets of air which strip flesh from bones. Somewhat larger rocks can get stuck in vents then be launched by the pressure with enough force to put them through metal plates.
