Salamander

Salamanders are fire-breathing beasts which dwell in the deep desert. In the wild they are distrustful of humans, if not outright hostile, however if raised from an early age it is possible to tame one. Since the first few salamanders were tamed, wealthy Kadori have bred them for use as guards, in much the same way that dogs might be used in other places. Some nobles even take part in salamander shows, competing to have the beast with the brightest scales or the hottest fire.
