Hillsmen who have proven themselves in battle are accounted into the army as 'free' troops. Those troops are free in the sense that they can choose what role to perform during the battle in accordance of their abilities. Warriors are often utilized as heavily equipped scouts, not for just probing the enemy but also conducting raids on the supply lines or eliminating patrols too. Often away from the main body of the army for long periods of time, warriors have no issue pilfering these supplies, and so they tend to be more well-equipped than most. However not without a price, as in the event of a rout they would be the first to be considered cowards and traitors, despite and in opposite of the freedom theyve been bestowed in the field.
