As ascendant Dragoon Nightwings gain strength and experience, they also gain an insatiable hunger which threatens their humanity. Vampyrs are those who stand upon such a precipice and choose to plunge. These Vampyrs resemble the legends of ancient, gliding fearlessly at night's darkest hour as a silent hunter. Such hunger manifests with sanguine vigor, with equal thirst for battle and blood. Manipulators fo lifeblood, Vampyrs regain strength from the essence of their enemies. Although forsaken among the other Dragoons as little more than the plague they are tasked with defeating, Vampyrs care little for the opinions of prey.

Vampyrs are capable of paralyzing mortals in fear with but a glance when the sun is foresaken. For those of weak constitution, such a glimpse may be fatal.
