Forest Spearman

Though the spear was only a hunting weapon at first, spearmen were more and more used as guards instead of hunters since the invention of the bow. The spearmen of the forestfolk are no trained soldiers, but simple citizens equipped with crude spears and leather armor. But even the untrained forestdweller know how to defend themself through experience against wild animals.

Special Notes: The length of this unit’s weapon allows it to strike first in melee, even in defense.
