Career of mounted lancer is as expensive as it is risky. Careful choice of right moment for a charge increases chances of survive in addition to breaking the line of opposing forces. Combination of tactical insight and benevolent luck may allow to survive enough charging attacks to be given the honorable title of the Knight. Bards praise Knight's valor in combat as well as Knight's code of honor. While honor has its place in Knight's life, traditional code of honor is more about martial wisdom than being honorable.
