Gnome Shielder Legend

The gnome race has always been famed for their sturdiness of build and many of their warriors outfit themselves to take advantage of this. Shielders march into battle with tower shields and spears, wearing full body suits of chain mail over warm clothes generously treated with fire-proofing liquids. Usually their role is to hold the line and to take a heavy toll on those who try to break it. As the line marches forward they act to secure its hard-won advance. If enough time is available to prepare the position then a line of Shielders becomes almost impenetrable.
