An fey practiced at archery can nock a second arrow almost as soon as the first is let fly. Some elves take this skill a step further by trying to shoot multiple arrows simultaneously. This prodigious skill does come with a cost - lack of precision. Fey Sentinels partially mitigate this cost by using bows with multiple bowstrings - one per simultaneously launched arrow. Such a bow has to be heavy to possess enough tensile strength for all its bowstrings, even with reduced tension per single bowstring. Combined with high cumulative tension of multiple bowstrings pulled simultaneously it has a side effect of making Sentinels somewhat tougher than usual for their race. Also Sentinels' duty of guarding particular regions produces a habit of tailoring their environments for increased protection.
