Valon Trooper Legend

Most troopers come from the ranks of citizens and are often wealthy enough to equip themselves with a suit of scale or plate armor, a small shield, a sturdy broadsword and a crossbow. Organized training turns overcofident and somewhat unruly townspeople into disciplined and reserved troops. Their pride persists as now it is supported by actual skill, even if relatively basic one.
