There is no such thing as non-poisonous snake. Big serpents may prefer brute force, nimble ones strike vulnerable spots during ambush, but venom is always present in their bodies. All Lamias can exhume it as mystical noxious fumes, only some of them can deliver it through their bite. Those feral individuals can be indistinguishable from wild animals until they speak... If they do, that is.
