Matriarch gryphon

The Estmark Gryphons often reach a high age. Many older females have become huge due to plenty of food. They will protect the younger ones with all their strength. Those who tried to steal eggs from them hardly had time to regret their action before the beast's metal-sharp talons ripped them to pieces. Those matriarches are revered by the other gryphons and their only fear is another, stronger matriarch.
All the other gryphons feal reassured by their strength and wisdom and figth better at their side.
