Empirial nobles would not forgive themselves if they let a chance to get additional power on the battlefield pass by; that as well pushing others around and telling them what to do.
A noble will trot slowly around his lines, showing off his position, seeing to that everyone knows their place in the line and preferring not to get ahead of it much (as they may have gad to at the start of their careers) like a true villain mastermind. Yet they do not allow their pride to go over more practical things and with all their up-till-now sloppiness they'll be the first to scram if things go wrong.
