久负盛名的旗手们花费多年时间，带领弟兄们在开阔的沙漠中巡逻和狩猎。他们寻觅补给品，并保护村庄免受强盗侵害。他们都擅长遭遇战，也是战术大师，非常精通在不适合居住的沙漠中漫游。旗手通常并不是大村庄或大部队的领袖，但若是精灵们遇到比拾荒者或野兽更大的威胁，那么在此种必要之时，旗手靠技能和魅力还是足以胜任将军一职。
