Starving Winter Wolf

Wolves are aggressive animals that hunt in packs. Although weak individually, a wolf pack can kill even the strongest man in minutes. Winter Wolves are adapted to life in colder climates but sometimes venture into northern parts of Wesnoth in winter, hence their name. Winter Wolves hunt best at night when most creatures seek shelter or sleep, using their keen hearing and sense of smell to locate unseen prey. Occasionally the hunt consistently fails and the entire pack begins to starve, becoming weaker and more desperate. At such times Winter Wolves will attack almost any creature that smells edible.
