Turtle
When faced against a superior navy, creativity became necessary to break the blockade. Such creativity bore the Turtle, an experimental one-man wooden submmersible. It was designed to sneak up to enemy ships, attach a mine underneath the hull via drill, and detonate it, causing the ship to explode from no apparent source. However, the going is slow for the turtle, being oddly shaped and propelled by mere handcranks and footpedals. It is best used in defending chokepoints rather than chasing down faster vessels.
