Mounted Lord

Some mounted nobles, once they achieve the status of commander, use their expertise to direct others into combat but cease to take part in combat themselves. However, any true commander continues to do their fair share in combat. Commanders who continue to prove their worth in combat are eventually recognised as Mounted Lords. They are very strong in melee combat, and also a force to be reckoned with in ranged combat, but their greatest strength is their commanding skill, for units surrounding a Mounted Lord can easily decimate opponents of considerable standing.

Special Notes: This unit has a defense cap on certain terrain types — it cannot achieve a higher defense rating on mixed terrains with such terrain types. This unit’s marksmanship gives it a high chance of hitting targeted enemies, but only on the attack. This unit is able to slow its enemies, halving their movement speed and attack damage until they end a turn. The leadership of this unit enables adjacent units of the same side to deal more damage in combat, though this only applies to units of lower level.
