The dark forests of the south may seem unsuitable for use of a bow, its dense growth limiting range and darkness covering potential targets from sight. Yet for felinians it is a convenient tool for hunting. Chasing prey through the thick foliage is a difficult task which a bit of discrete range helps to avoid and the cats natural agility fits the use of bows quite well, while their feline nightsight negates the difficulty of scarce light. Unlike elves however felinians had to develop o different way of effective bow use - limited space does not allow to fire more shots for compensation of possible misses since if at first you don't succeed, there may be no more target for another try. The gray fur of the forest cats helps them blend with the surroundings, buying them enough time to sneak a little closer and take a good aim before getting spotted.
