Martial Arts take discipline, and not everybody has it. Hardening one's body to become a weapon requires long, hard ans fastidious training. Those who fail sometimes turn to food and beverage for consolation. The body of those few orientals then develop an unmatched musculature under a thick layer of body fat. They then become sumo fighters, slower but stronger, able to recover from dreadful blows and rivaling with samurais as line holders.
