While the Athlon is the most commonly seen kind of Arathopiae, you will also meet Aciaras very often, which aren't as strong as Athlons, but have the ability to spit out acid-like fluids. This ability allows them to attack from the distance and therefore, they can get rid of enemies before they come near enough to take advantage of the Aciaras' fragile armor. While their armor is fragile, certain elements of their fluid allow them to use it as a protection against both, fire and cold.
