The more successful missions a Genin carries, the more he might get noticed by his superior and promoted as a Chunin, a Middle man. Chunins are the right hands of the Jonins, the ninja generals, and are generally the link between their superiors and the Genins. Being potent fighters, they are sometimes given experienced troups to carry out more important missions.
