Les fourmis géantes sont présentes dans presque tous les environnements et les œufs dont elles sortent sont souvent cachés dans des grottes ou tout autre lieu abrité. La plupart des œufs sont pondus par l'une des reines de la colonie, mais les ouvrières les transportent dans n'importe quel endroit approprié.

The Giant Ant Eggs have a tough, leathery shell that takes a dedicated effort to break through. While this shell makes it difficult to know the status of the inhabitant from the outside, it does not obscure the outside world from the rapidly developing ant larva within. Any predator or foe who approaches an ant egg or breaches the shell of an adjacent brood member will spur that ant to hatch as a fully formed adult.
