Before the arrival of the Wesfolk, the only form of magic practiced on the Green Isle was related to the use of arcane light for healing purposes; other forms of magic were only in their embryonic state, and were only used as a form of entertainment.
However, since life on the Green Isle was not always peaceful, and the followers of the light were not always considered neutral, they developed a form of passive defense consisting of using arcane light to temporarily blind their attackers.
