Expelled from the order of the magi for misconduct, this rogue magician now wanders the earth. Though their intent is not evil these rogues often find themselves in the company of thieves and scoundrels and therefore often are caught up in plots and schemes that are of a less-than-legal nature. Some remain recluse, and others join the bands of outcasts that lurk the forests and swamp, but most continue the practice of sorcery and magic that they started on, and in time those who survive the predators who call themselves friends, and the raiders who seek to hunt them down for mal-practice, may grow into sorcerers of considerable skill and power.
