Many soldiers of the gnome race balance their axes to be thrown as their secondary use. Some veterans craft lighter hatchets instead. These are balanced for quick draw and throw in a single movement. Hatchets are unwieldy in melee and require their compound move to be planned somewhat in advance which makes them geared for offensive encounters rather that defensive ones. Melee weapons are made heavier and also rebalnced for similar style of combat and even armor receives minor tweaks to support specific movements. Because of extended customization these warriors are known for their crafting skills as much as combat skills, if not more.

Note: this unit is ''leader'' - it cannot be recruited and if it dies then its owner is considered to be defeated.
