Those unfortunate individuals who perish in the Abbydon Waste become one of several dark spirit beings, depending upon the qualities, or lack thereof, that they displayed in life.

The Fell Sentinel is confined to Abbydon for all eternity for whatever unspeakable crimes it committed in life. And while these are long forgotten, it still vividly remembers its hatred of all that lives. This wretched and terrible being exercises authority over all other spirits of the Waste.

Special Notes (1.14-style, please update to the new list format to avoid duplicates):Spirits have very unusual resistances to damage, and move quite slowly over open water.The leadership of this unit enables adjacent units of the same side to deal more damage in combat, though this only applies to units of lower level.During battle, this unit can drain life from victims to renew its own health.Foes who lose their life to the plague will rise again in unlife, unless they are standing on a village.
