Rats inhabit major cities and sometimes form swarms. Rats seem to respect each other in the best case staying out of the territory of another swarm. However, sometimes they are encountered together with other swarms or even giant rats. While these rats seem to have a normal size, their sheer number more than compensates that and makes them a threat for any unprepared adventurer.
