Weapons used against skeletal bodies sometimes become stuck in the rib cage and a few other spots. Weapons stuck in this way are occasionally useful as spare arms, but encumber light bone carcass with considerable extra weight. Getting rid of this extra weight manually takes time - hopefully after combat encounter, when it is more abundant. If Thanat can accumulate enough of its innate arcane force then stuck arms can be purged from the bone carcass with a surge of impulse. Being directed at the opponent, purged weapons can act as projectiles that have to be evaded all at once. This action is often perceived as burst or rage and earns a reputation of impulsiveness for calm and cold-hearted warriors that mastered it.
