Once Thanat's mind is fully formed it starts to consciously and methodically explore its surroundings. This stage is especially important for Thanats that start with empty memories. They drift around getting acquainted with places, items and creatures that contributed to their personality when they were in the process of coming into existence. It takes some time to realize one's goal as well, especially when impeded by nearby creatures driven by fear of otherworldly spirit.
