Muhandiz

Unlike the learned Hakim doctors, Muhandis have given up their urban life as (medical or engineer) students in order to devote their lifes to the Khalifate. As a proof of their radical faith, Muhandis develop an interest in alchemical substances and explosives in order to prove themselves useful no matter what the cost. That they will die in the process of obtaining 'victory for the Khalifate' does not interest those who carry a suicide bomb into battle. Khalifates consider sacrifice as a religious act of devotion, and their faith promises them heavenly reward for killing infidels. However, not few of them are forced into it by their clans as a repay of a (honor) debt, or by blackmail, because the demand for such handsome bombers is always greater than the 'supply' in the bellicose Khalifate.
