Corpse Thief


Corpse thief appears when necromancer doesn't put enough energy in spell of ghost recall. Sometimes it is done deliberately but it's also a common mistake among beginners. Ghost which called such way have a shape of fuzzy shadow so its capabilities affect material world is limited. On the other hand, it able to subjugate minds of victims, causing sleepiness. When victim falls asleep, corpse thief penetrates its body and seizes control. Most skilled thiefs able to handle several bodies at the same time, creating armies of servants. To oppose corpse thief's influence, you need extraordinary willpower, so just not contact him may be the best idea.

Pupil: Night type
* +5% accuracy and +1 vision range at night.
* -10% accuracy and -1 vision range at daytime.

Alignment: Cruel
* 25% damage bonus when there are 1 or more cruel allies around the opponent.
* 25% damage penalty when there aren't allies around the opponent.

Movement type: Ghost
* moves by air, ignoring properties of terrain - equal defense and speed on most terrain types.
* reduced speed over open water.

Armor type: Ghost
* unbelievable resistant to physical damage and even more - to cold damage.
* exclusively resistant to fire damage.
* vulnerable for arcane damage.

Damage type: Arcane & Cold
* arcane attack is very effective against undead.
* arcane attack is more effective against orcs and sinners.
* arcane attack is less effective against drakes, elves, nages and merfolk.
* arcane attack is uneffective against woses, sages and saints.
* cold attack is very effective against drakes and dragons.
* cold attack is more effective against woses, nagas, trolls, frogs and merfolk.
* cold attack is less effective against dwarves and hardy units.
* cold attack is uneffective against skeletons and ghosts.

Special abilities:
* spawn of darkness: unit regenerates 8 HP per turn at night and 4 HP per turn at twilight.
* somnific: when attack hits a living opponent, it falls asleep. Sleeping unit loses their ZoC and becomes an easy target for corpse thiefs.
* take corpse: when attack hits a sleeping opponent of lower or equal level, unit takes its corpse.
