Best archers can transfer to crossbowmen company, where they gain quality weapons and armor. There is not many of such companies in the Royal Army, but its number grows every year due to the fact that the crossbow is much greater than the bow in both range and armor-piercing qualities. Wesnothian commanders appreciate the tactical possibilities of crossbow more than bow's shooting rate.
