Mercenary Henchman


Henchmen are trusted servants of mercenary captain, which cover his back in battle. Although the henchman does not have a high rank, he is a truly indispensable person, as trust is a rare quality among mercenaries. And, since the voice of the previous captain is decisive in appointing the next one, the henchman has a paradoxically better chance of leading his company in future, than any of its fighters.

* +5% accuracy and +1 vision range at daytime.
* -10% accuracy and -1 vision range at night.

Alignment: Selfless
* 25% damage bonus when there are 2 or more selfless allies around unit.
* 25% damage penalty when there isn't allies around unit.

Movement type: Military
* good at village and castles defending.

Armor type: Immoral human with big shield
* resistant to any damage, except arcane.
* vulnerable for arcane damage.

Damage type: Impact
* effective against units without armor, especially against fragile ones, like skeletons, elves, goblins and saurians.
* less effective against woses, trolls and other giant creatures.
* uneffective against ghosts and heavy armored units.

Special abilities:
* protection: increases resistance of adjacent ally units by 20% (except their arcane resistance).
