Caporegime are trusted aides of gangster families' bosses. They usually represent interests of the family in other cities or in negotiations with other leaders of the Syndicate. Of course, they also head the Syndicate's hoodlums in the most bloody operations. The style of combat practiced by members of gangster families is somewhat less elegant and more practical than techniques preferred by noble duelists, but mafiosi, like nobles, often prefer fights one on one, putting the reputation of a family beyond their own survival. All of this makes caporegime almost the most respected people in the criminal world.
