<span></span>Tumorous bloat provides a way to enlarge the corpse but reserves of flesh in the body itself can take this growth only so far. Further growth requires devouring the flesh of other bodies to be converted into additional muscle for Thanat's vessel. This conversion is greatly assisted by a colony of vermin living inside the corpse. More vermin can be assimilated into this colony from devoured bodies. They can be coordinated to participate in rebuilding and extending their newfound habitat. Thanat's arcane power that controls the swarm is the only remaining limit for such filthy growth. Flesh consumed in excess of this limit allows to mend the wounds and rebuild severed parts of this shambling horror.

Note: this unit is ''unliving'' (has fixed trait named ''unliving'') - it cannot be poisoned, when it is recalled its hitpoints are set to 20 and it can heal from ''healing places'' only when also eligible for rest-healing or under effect of ''siccates'' ability of allied unit
