Merchant
Merchants trade goods, transporting them between towns and cities. They don't have extensive martial training, but they can defend themselves with a dagger if attacked. Because of their frequent encounters with bandits, they often hire guards when they travel, and wear leather armor to give themselves some degree of protection. The richer merchants hire caravan masters to deliver their goods and live a comfortable life in the cities, but poorer ones have to travel with their caravans and thus tend to be more practical than the ostentatious city-dwelling merchants.
